(also known as Disc Ceramic Membrane / Dynamic Cross-flow Ceramic Membrane)
Rotating ceramic membrane is an upgraded technology based on traditional ceramic membranes. Using alumina, zirconia or silicon carbide as the substrate, it adopts rotatable disc-type membrane modules to achieve efficient solid-liquid separation.
Structure: A hollow rotating shaft combined with multi-layer ceramic membrane discs. Both sides of the membrane discs are equipped with separation layers and flow guide grooves, and the permeate is discharged through the central shaft. The filtration precision ranges from microfiltration to ultrafiltration (e.g., 5 nm, 30 nm, 0.2 μm, 2 μm, etc.).
Working Mechanism: The motor drives the membrane discs to rotate at high speed, generating strong hydraulic shear and centrifugal force to break the filter cake layer and suppress concentration polarization. The feed liquid is filtered from the outside to the inside, eliminating the need for high-pressure and large-flow circulation, resulting in significantly lower energy consumption than tubular ceramic membranes.
Strong anti-fouling capability: Suitable for high-viscosity and high-solid-content feed liquids. The concentration capacity is much higher than that of static membranes. It has a long cleaning cycle and supports backflushing and chemical cleaning.
Excellent chemical and thermal resistance: High temperature resistance, strong acid and alkali resistance, high mechanical strength, and long service life.
Low energy consumption: Low operating pressure, reducing pump power consumption.
Concentration and washing of ultrafine powders (nano-calcium carbonate, spherical alumina);
Clarification and filtration of biological fermentation broth and plant extracts;
Advanced treatment of industrial wastewater and oily sewage;
Clarification and sterilization of food and beverages.
Rotating membranes offer more stable flux and lower energy consumption in high-solid/high-viscosity systems, but the initial equipment investment is higher than that of tubular membranes. They are suitable for long-term continuous operation of difficult-to-treat materials.
